SenRa, a Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWANs) provider for long range-based (LoRa-based) internet of things (IoT) application, recently announced the release of a new low-cost IoT analytics platform, Ginjer.
Ali Hosseini, Chief Executive Officer of SenRa, said in a news release that Ginjer is for companies looking for IoT platforms that are affordable but still have powerful reporting tools, data visualization and device management capabilities.
With Ginjer, SenRa said it can provide end-to-end solutions such as uPark, a LoRaWAN-based smart parking solution; and CleanBin, a LoRaWAN-based smart bin solution in India.
Both solutions have already been deployed in smart city and smart campus projects.
SenRa is a contributing member of the LoRa Alliance and is currently deploying LPWANs throughout India for projects which require secure, reliable, long distance communication at low cost.
In December 2018, the company announced the successful deployment of its LoRaWAN network in 30 cities in India, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Chandigarh.
SenRa said this is in support of the development of smart cities throughout India and the government’s “100 Smart Cities Mission.”
In many of these cities, SenRa said it has helped deploy smart city solutions such as smart water metering, smart street lighting, smart waste bins, and smart parking.
Dhananjay Sharma, COO of SenRa, said the company started network deployments in November 2017.
“We have just begun this amazing journey, and we will continue to deploy network aggressively as we have our eyes set on a PAN India LoRaWAN network,” he said.
Citing a report by India’s Department of Telecommunications in February 2018 that unveiled its vision to enable access for connecting 1 billion IoT and M2M sensors in the country by 2020, and five billion by 2022, SenRa said its recent network rollout in 30 cities will contribute to this.
